Happy June, summer is here!  

I wanted to share this photo with you of my baby boy, Jaxon's high school graduation a few weeks ago. (Phew! four kids down and one more to go,-grin-) If you've ever heard me speak about when I first got started with energy healing, well, he was the little 3 year old who was so clingy until after one energy healing session. Ever since that day 15 years ago he has been a very happy and lovable kid! I'm so thankful that I found out about energy healing all those years ago! I use it every day in my business and in my personal life, and as a mom energy healing has been invaluable to me!

 We all know that healthy food, proper exercise and adequate sleep are all essential for a fit body. But, do you realize the physical body is a metaphor for what is going on inside of us?

The weight is simply how the physical body manifests the root issue. There are many different issues for many different people.

You can diet and exercise to lose all the weight you want, but if the negative core beliefs are still there it's very hard to maintain that weight loss.

On this Group Energy session we will be clearing the reasons why, on a subconscious level, people feel it is not "safe" or they are "not worthy" to lose weight and be lean and healthy.  We will release old, negative inner tapes and we will "plug in" new, positive affirmations that support you on this journey, to help make weight loss a fun and empowering time for you instead of a struggle!

During each group session a name will be drawn for a complimentary private phone session with me.

Featured Article: Are You Getting Enough Sleep?

  Many of us are living tired. Between jobs, housework, children, spouses, errands, cooking, business meetings, workouts, we’ve all got a lot on our plates (not that we’re complaining, of course). Some of us never seem to get caught up on our rest and sleep because there’s always so much to do.

But what if you get plenty of sleep and you still feel tired? As it turns out, it’s not the amount that affects us so much as the quality. Poor-quality sleep interferes with our energy and keeps it vibrating at a low level, which shouldn’t surprise anyone.

Although we’re desperate to rest and sleep, sometimes we never fully turn off. There’s always that to-do list running through our minds, like background music. We’re like computers in sleep mode—not fully awake, but not fully asleep either.

Let’s look at how we can improve the overall quality of our sleep. In this wired age, the trick is to completely turn off and let our bodies go into repair and restore mode. In other words, we have to give ourselves permission to let go and fall into deep, restful sleep, instead of a light, restless, watchful sleep. Below are some tips to maximize your sleep effectiveness.

  • Establish a bedtime routine. Go to bed at roughly the same time every night. Your body will respond by getting the message that it’s time to sleep and will fall into a deeper sleep.  
  • Don’t watch any stressful or stimulating TV shows for two hours before bedtime.
  • Before bed, give yourself some time (even if it’s just 15 minutes) to read, meditate, pray, do yoga or tai chi. This is also a great time to write in your Gratitude Journal at least 3 things that you grateful for that day. Make a rule that during this time, you're not allowed to think about what you need to do tomorrow, what you left undone today or what you should be doing right now instead of taking care of yourself.
  • Before your relaxation time, prepare yourself by emptying your mind of all the have-tos and chores. Get a notebook specifically for this purpose. Each night before your quiet time, write down everything that you need to do the next day. This will give your brain permission to let these chores go, because otherwise your brain believes it has to be alert to remember the list.  

Once you’ve completed these sleep-preparation steps, you’re ready. Almost. Now you have to actually give yourself permission to completely let go.

Ananda Sivyer, who writes the Living by Design: Essential Tips for a Calm and Healthy Lifestyle blog from the UK, offers the following advice:

So how can you say “yes” to truly restorative sleep?

1. acknowledge you need it

2. believe it’s valuable to you – right here, right now

3. welcome it – let yourself sink into a relaxed and grateful state and think to yourself “now I will rest, deeply and completely, my body needs this and I will accept and enjoy it.” That simple statement can make the difference between a fretful half-accepted night of semi-wakefulness and the deep recharge that your body craves, needs and deserves.
