Simple Heart Shift Love

Share Valentine’s Vibes with this Simple Heart Shift

Happy Valentine’s month!

In the spirit of love and light, I want to share a simple, yet powerful tool with you. It’s perfect for those moments when you’re feeling a bit down or frustrated with someone or something. The best part? You can do it anywhere, anytime.

As you read this keep in mind, love is the highest vibration and you definitely have the ability to feel and send love.

Let’s face it, we all have those moments where someone or something really tests our patience. It could be a friend, a family member, or even just a stressful situation.

Here’s a quick and simple way to turn things around for yourself, the other person, and the energy of the situation.

  1. Pause and Breathe: When you feel upset, take a moment to pause. Breathe in deeply, then slowly breathe out. This helps calm your mind.
  2. Heart Focus: Shift your focus to your heart.
  3. Visualize Love: Imagine a warm, glowing light of love in your heart. Feel it growing and becoming brighter.
  4. Send the Love: Now, with intention send this loving light from your heart to whoever or whatever is bothering you.

What’s great about this simple heart shift is it can diffuse a situation with no one else consciously knowing you are doing it. (I’ve even done this with strangers in the grocery store.) The hardest part is remembering to use this tool in the heat of the moment when those negative feelings bubble up.

Believe it or not, this small step can have a huge impact on your emotional well-being and how you interact with others. It’s choosing to embrace love and stay positive, even in sticky situations.

So, let’s radiate some warmth and love from our hearts this week. And remember, the trick is to catch yourself in those not-so-great moments and remember to pause and bring your awareness to your heart. Give it a try next time you’re in a situation that could use a ‘higher vibe’.

And, if you feel like you’re at a crossroads with any of your relationships, let’s energetically explore it together. I’ve got a handful of openings in my February schedule for private sessions. Reach out if you’re ready to dive deep.

Sending you lots of love and positive energy for the week ahead!

Here’s another fun Valentine’s suggestion – This little video nugget is from 4 years ago, so it’s an oldie but a goodie but it’s still a thoughtful idea to implement for yourself or your family. Give it a watch, spread the love, and let me know how it goes!

Earlier this week, I had the pleasure of being a guest on Janessa Finley-Ford’s Eyes Wide Open Radio Show and it was such a fun conversation! Janessa is one of our awesome Certified SimplyAlign Practitioners, so we discussed the fascinating world of energy and discussed my journey with the SimplyAlign Method.

If you’ve ever wondered how I got started and what fuels my passion, I spill it here. Janessa had some great insights and asked some great questions.

Random Distractions

My 5 random “distractions” you might like too

My 5 random “distractions” you might like too

The energy of the world has felt really strange for awhile now.

I figured you might be feeling that too, so today I thought it’d be fun to share with you a few of my favorite “distractions.”

Here are five things that make me happy, and I bet some of these can put a smile on your face too!

First, here are two things I’m having so much fun with (and…truth be told probably spending way too much time on).

1) Chat GPT – https://chat.openai.com

Oh man! Have you played around with this yet? I love it so much, it’s like having a personal assistant (but this AI is less snarky than my Alexa). I can see why parents don’t want their kids using this to write their school papers- it’s too easy! But here’s a fun tip -it can and will do so much more than just write talks and papers for you. And the more you use it, it gets to know you (creepy? maybe a little). I asked for 2 weeks of easy vegan dinners and it quickly typed up some really great menu plans and even all the recipes!

If you want to reply to this email and let me know how you’re using it, I’d love to hear!

2) ThredUp – https://www.thredup.com/r/UKBCFK

Oh, this is a huge online thrift store! It’s so fun to put in your filters: size, colors, etc. then use the search bar for whatever item or brand you’re looking for. (Pro-tip: find the little button that says “Recommends” -and then you can sort by Low to High $) And best of all, you can feel good about buying gently-used (they also have some “new with tags”) because it helps save our planet by not adding to the environmental problem of clothing overproduction. (And bonus, you can clean out your closet and send your clothes to them too!)

Next, here are two “smooth” things that always give me a minute to pause and breathe:

3) Mr. Vivo on Instagram -he’s so dreamy! https://www.instagram.com/mco_vivo

Such a magnificent Maine Coon, the first time he popped up in my scroll he seriously took my breath away! – I dare you to look at his posts without swooning, haha.

4) Teecinohttps://teeccino.com/

These caffeine-free, organic teas in 35 unique flavors offer a ton of health benefits: improved heart health, better digestion, and lower cholesterol levels. I’m not a coffee drinker (even though all Teecino’s are herbal), but I do love their herbal teas. My favorite one this winter is: Chaga Mushroom + Ashwagandha. I add a little almond milk and a dab of pure maple syrup, and it hits the spot for my mid-afternoon break – yum! Also faves of mine are the Dandelion Vanilla Carmel and Chocolate Mint. They have SO many flavors to choose from, I suggest you start with a sample pack so you can try several. On the Teecino website you can read about the health benefits and their whole story. (PS- these are also available on Amazon)

Last but not least, if you need a distraction from the woes of the world, AND want to learn something new, this might do it for you:

5) The Institute of Human Anatomy channel on YouTube. These guys use REAL human cadavers to explain the inner workings of our bodies. I learn so many new things every time I watch one of these videos, it’s fascinating, and sometimes kinda gross -just warning ya!

So there you have it, a list of random things that bring joy to my life and I hope at least one of them will be useful for you too!

Gifts - Energy Healing

7 Gifts: Are you interested?

7 Gifts: Are you interested?

In 1996 when I began practicing energy work on friends, family, then clients, I used what I’d been taught through classes and whatever few books were published on it at the time.

But I also had to learn to rely on my own intuition, and trust God to give me inspiration as I did the work.

It was important to me to learn the cleanest, purest and least complicated way of doing this type of work.

When I started doing this work, I was so happy to be able to help clients with whatever challenges they faced in their lives.

As a bonus, over the years I’ve seen how much growth also comes to the students who train to be SimplyAlign Practitioners.

There are so many gifts that come with the learning, I may not be able to know them all, but here is a short list of 7 blessings that my students have shared with me that have come into their lives since going through the training:

NOTE: I’m not taking credit for this, it’s not from anything I’ve done, but through their own interest, study, practice, and positive energy.

1. An increased sense of fulfillment and purpose: being a SimplyAlign Practitioner can provide a sense of fulfillment and purpose, as you help others to heal and transform their lives. This can give you a greater sense of satisfaction and meaning in your personal and professional life.

2. Ability to facilitate personal growth and healing: As a SimplyAlign practitioner, you’ll have the opportunity to facilitate personal growth and healing in yourself and others. This can be a transformative experience, helping you to heal old wounds and release negative patterns and beliefs.

3. Enhanced intuition and spiritual awareness: Energy work can help you to connect with your intuition and spiritual awareness, allowing you to tap into your inner wisdom and guidance. This can enhance your decision-making and help you live a more fulfilling and purposeful life.

4. A deeper sense of empathy, with ability to hold healthy boundaries: Being an energy practitioner requires you to tune in to the emotions and energy of others, which will help you develop a deeper sense of empathy and compassion. This can improve your relationships and increase your understanding of others.

5. Cleared family patterns that have been in the lineage for decades: As a SimplyAlign practitioner, you’ll have the tools to help clear your own family patterns as well as help your clients clear theirs. Breaking negative cycles encourages us to create new, more positive family narratives that involve reframing negative experiences and focusing on strengths and resilience.

6. Increased financial independence: As a SimplyAlign Practitioner, you have the potential to earn a great income doing meaningful work. This brings peace of mind, as well as more freedom and flexibility in your life to pursue additional passions and priorities.

7. Connection with a beautiful community of supportive souls: Our community of supportive practitioners is here to welcome you with open arms. Starting a healing business is a journey, and we’re all here to support each other.
If you feel inspired by any of these, I’d love to have you join us in my next

Living Above the Line

Are You Living Above The Line?

One of my favorite ways to explain about energy/emotions/frequency, whether I’m teaching a class or just explaining to one client in a private session, is to use the concept of living above or below the line.

This concept is used in a lot of different ways, but I talk about it referring to emotions.

We all get the “opportunity” to feel a broad range of emotions throughout our lives, throughout a week, or really it can be throughout one day!

Some emotions are heavy, and have a slower vibration. Emotions such as:

sadness / anger / fear / shame / doubt / anxiety / envy / disappointment / irritation / worry / impatience, and so many more.

Since these emotions are heavy and sluggish, they can literally make us feel heavy and sluggish when we are carrying them. These are what I call Below the Line.

On the flip side, emotions that make us feel light, lift us up, and feel so good are:

joy / peace / gratitude / hope / contentment / serenity / awe / relief / confidence / optimism / LOVE / enthusiasm, ETC. These I refer to as Above the Line.

Let’s say there’s an invisible line and all the negative emotions fall beneath it, and all the positive emotions float above it. With that visual it’s easy to see that we want to Live Above The Line. It feels so much better to live in the space of these higher vibrating emotions!

Living Above the Line

But let’s go back to what I said earlier, we all get the “opportunity” to experience all these emotions. So, yes our goal is to do what we can to live ABOVE the line, but it’s really ok if we occasionally sink below it while experiencing one or more of the heavy emotions.

After all…that’s part of this life’s experience. We’re not meant to only live above the line, but yes, life is much more pleasant when we pro-actively do what we can to live from the “up-side”.

Sometimes we carry heavy emotions temporarily while we’re going through some tough stuff, and sometimes those emotions get stuck in our tissues, in our energy, in our mind.

What SimplyAlign does is find the cause of the negative emotion and release it at its root.

You don’t have to remember the event or re-live what happened, often the energy just needs a witness…and a skilled practitioner.

The negative emotions we carry can be from situations we are currently experiencing, or can be stored and stagnating from years of layering these sluggish emotions without fully releasing and letting them go. Oh wow, that sounds heavy doesn’t it?

The good news is, we don’t have to carry them. There are ways to get to the root and clean it up, even if we don’t know the exact emotions, where they came from, or that they were even still lurking there.

Last week I worked with a new client and several times through the session she said, “I feel so light!” I told her, “Yes, that’s how SimplyAlign works.” That’s the statement I hear the most from clients, and it goes back to releasing the heavy vibrations.

So, here’s my invitation for you this week:

Pay attention to how you’re feeling. Check in with yourself during the day to notice what emotion you’re feeling at the time, and whether it’s ABOVE or BELOW the line. Of course the goal is to stay above the line, by keeping or shifting your thoughts to a positive state.

Just having this awareness will help raise your vibration. Yay You!

And if you’re ready to take it several steps further and learn how to use SimplyAlign to quickly and gracefully release heavy emotions (and oh so much more!) then click here to learn more about the upcoming SimplyAlign Training Oct 18-21st – all ONLINE

Having the desire to do this work is a gift, and being able to do it well is a skill.

I can’t give you the desire if it’s not there, but if it is, I can teach you the skills to help you live

ABOVE THE LINE more often and skills to help you help others live above the line too.

Shine On,

Peak Bloom - Cherry Blossoms

Cherry Blossom Photos @ Peak Bloom

Happy Spring! (or Autumn for my readers down unda’ and thereabouts).

I want to talk to you today about “Peak Bloom” – what is it? And why should you care?

Here are a couple of the pics I recently posted on my Instagram (SimplyCari).

They’re from the Cherry Blossom Festival, on the day designated as “peak bloom”.

Peak Bloom - Cherry Blossoms

I love this huge MLK Memorial. It’s especially stunning when the blossoms are at peak!

Peak Bloom - Cherry Blossoms

Peak Bloom is defined as the point that 70% of the blossoms are open.

Not 90%, not 100%.

Only 70%…and as you can see these trees look exquisite!

Because 70% can be good.

I’m not one to tell you to lower your standards, or your expectations.

And as a Certified High Performance Coach I’d never tell you to stop striving for progress.

But I will remind you of two phrases I have to remind myself of often:

Progress over Perfection
and
Done is better than perfect.

This is where 70% can come in helpful.

Not everything needs to be perfect, or even 90%.

I know, I know it goes against the old saying: “a job worth doing is worth doing right.”

But let’s be real, some jobs really are worth doing at 70%.

Going in at 70% helps you overcome perfectionism, over-thinking, indecision, self doubt, and procrastination.

Because simply being in action brings clarity, which brings creativity, energy, momentum and growth.

Think of something you’ve been putting off for far too long – I’ll wait…got it?

Now give yourself permission to do it 70%. Remembering, done is better than perfect.

That allows you to just get started on it without worrying about the end result.

Peak Bloom for the Cherry Blossoms isn’t 100%, it’s beauty at 70%.

What’s your Peak Bloom?

“Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can”.

Have a fabulous weekend~

10 Behaviors that Block Happiness

10 Behaviors that Block HappinessSpring is the time for new beginnings and that means Spring Cleaning to let go of what is not serving you. We all seek that elusive quality of “happiness.” Here are some things you can place your awareness on and clean out of your life so you can be happier.

Impressing. What you have —your possessions, your accomplishments—don’t result in real relationship or lasting happiness.

Blaming. Your response to any situation is your choice. Try making it a learning opportunity—taking responsibility is empowering.

Controlling. It doesn’t help you feel good about yourself. Honor your boundaries, but make space for others’ needs and choices, too.

Criticizing. We are all unique and different, not better or worse. Appreciate the differences instead of zeroing in on shortcomings.

Whining. Complaining is ineffective, whereas asking for what you want is liberating.

Clinging to what is known. When you’re feeling afraid or insecure, be willing to let go of the familiar, take a risk and try something new.

Being Ungrateful. Stay aware of all the gifts and blessings that you do have. Express gratitude and happiness will follow.

Preaching. Another form of judging. Find more fun and empowering ways to share your knowledge.

Negative Self-talk. Train yourself to notice your mind’s chatter. Working towards changing negative thoughts to positive ones will transform your life.

Fear. Don’t let fear get in the way of progress. Whatever you’ve been dreaming, get going on it. “Feel the fear and do it anyway.”
