Do Affirmations Really Work?

Do Affirmations Really Work? How do you feel right now? Do you feel good? Do you feel bad? What are your current emotions? What is your gut feeling? Would you like to feel better? Then reach for a better feeling or thought.

In an earlier blog post about the Law of Attraction, I wrote about how the thoughts we vibrate create our life by attracting back to us what we have sent out. Remember, your behaviors always align themselves with your belief system, so it is important to stay with the vibrationally higher thoughts such as gratitude, joy, hope and love. The more you talk about a problem, the more you anchor it in place. Do you choose to reinforce positive or negative neuro-pathways in your brain?

e reality of the present into the creation of the future through the words you use in the now.” Listed below are some positive affirmations that you can say to help raise your energy.  You may want to write some of these on a card to keep in your pocket for awhile, or choose your favorite and write it across the bathroom mirror to absorb it every day:

  • I am balanced and joyful in all areas of my life
  • I experience joy in others successes
  • It is safe for me to have money
  • There is always enough good for everyone and there is plenty for me
  • I am free of having to prove myself
  • I bring out the best in other people
  • I am heard /I am visible / I am understood / I am supported
  • I allow myself to learn from gentle lessons
  • Inspiration comes to me naturally and effortlessly
  • My relationships are continually improving
  • It is easy for me to validate my children’s emotions
  • I am always good enough
  • I maintain healthy boundaries
  • I attract like-minded friends

Doing affirmations is consciously choosing to think certain thoughts that will create positive results in the future. They create a focal point that will allow you to begin changing your thinking, which in turn can change your life.

I collect affirmations and put them on index cards and laminate. Sometimes I add a graphic to them. This way I can carry around and they don’t get messy. Also, I can change up when I feel the need. Thanks for the great additions to my collection!
